While I was in VA for a class, I hooked up with a
navy buddy from my first ship, the David R. Ray. Bob and I had
not seen each other in 22 years, not much had changed, he looked
older, I looked older and fatter. :) We were best buds back in
the mid-80's, I was the photographer at his first wedding at
Presidio Park here in SD. We did a WESTPAC together, hung out
for 2 or 3 days in Pattaya Beach, Thailand. Ahh, those were the
days.
I drove from Fairfax to the marina in Maryland
and spent the weekend boating, eating and partying - great time.
Well, except when the engine died and we lost all electrical. We
got it fixed, teamworkers again.
