Aerosmith Evanescence, Velvet Revolver, Ratones Paranoicos and Turf at River Plate Stadium Quilmes Rock Festival Day 4, Buenos Aires, Argentina - April 15, 2007 The pic (above) is six images stitched together to show the full layout of "El Monumental," Estadio River Plate. The crowd was somewhere around 60,000. Turf and Ratones Paranoicos were the local bands who went on first. I liked their music (maybe lyrics as well) more than Velvet Revolver. There aren't that many pics because the digicam I took didn't have much zoom capability and shooting in the dark was tough. I shot some videos with it, but they don't have sound, so it seemed kind of lame to post them. I've tried to get some video capture images up, but my software is being a pain, so don't have those either! Oh well, it was a great time. I've heard from two guys, Alejandro, in the blue and white jersey behind the Aerosmith banner shot, and Braulio next to me in the black teeshirt and with his girlfriend Karla. Those who bought tickets via the fan club were to meet Amanda at 2pm for early admission, so we hung out and chatted. During that chatting time I met folks from Argentina, Chile, Brasil, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Bolivia. Being the only Americano, I hope I made a good impression!
Amanda, the beleaguered AeroForceOne rep who handed out the swag packets, lanyards and badges. Everyone who bought a ticket via the fan club got in 1/2 hour early, which was important for those with field or Campo tickets.
